BAFT, BIAN & IBM IBV Corporate Banking Beyond the Transaction

New research from the IBM Institute for Business Value (IBV) conducted in partnership with BAFT reveals how corporate banks and their clients are navigating rapid change in trade and supply chain finance. One major finding: a majority (57%) of corporate CFOs and treasurers are moving toward multi-banking platform-first engagement or proprietary AI-driven orchestration of product and service for self direct, dynamic consumption.

As corporate clients increasingly leverage technology for banking services and transactions become commoditized, bankers need to reinvent their role. They must integrate AI and tokenization into their business and operating models, positioning themselves as trusted partners in intelligence, risk, and execution directly embedded in clients’ trade and supply chain finance workflows.
