This Export Letter of Credit Issuance Instructions document was developed by members of BAFT to provide their exporter clients (Beneficiary/Exporter/Seller), who will send them to the Applicant (Buyer/Importer), to establish a clear and standardized set of issuance instructions which support the accurate and efficient preparation of the buyer’s Import Letter of Credit application. The goal is to enhance transaction efficiency, create transparency, safeguard both parties’ interests, and support a predictable and streamlined Letter of Credit process from issuance and documentation through to payment.
