BAFT Women in Transaction Banking (WTB), in partnership with Deutsche Bank, is hosting an exclusive WTB Afternoon Briefing in London, UK on May 26, 2026. This invite-only briefing brings together women leaders and allies across the industry for meaningful conversation and connection.
This important briefing will feature a panel discussion led by esteemed leaders in the transaction banking industry representing the EMEA region. The program will also feature an update on WTB’s regional progress and an opportunity to network with fellow attendees over refreshments.

Tsvetanka Nankova is the Global Head of Sales for Institutional Cash & Trade Finance at Deutsche Bank (DB). Tsvetanka leads a global team of senior sales transaction bankers and oversees DB’s correspondent banking network and client relationships across the globe. Prior to this, Tsvetanka was Head of Corporate Development & the Corporate Bank’s Chief of Staff. She was responsible for a diverse set of teams including Strategy & Chief of Staff Office, Corporate Venture Capital & Strategic Investments, KYC Program & Business Execution. Tsvetanka has extensive industry experience having also managed Deutsche Bank’s Institutional Cash Management (ICM) business in Middle East & Africa as well as the Corporate Bank’s KYC remediation activities under specific regulatory frameworks. Tsvetanka joined Deutsche Bank in 2016 as a Client Manager for ICM covering Eastern Europe. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Tsvetanka worked at Wells Fargo where she spent nine years in various FI Sales roles.

Katharina Steinbrich is a Sales Coverage Analyst in Institutional Cash Management & Trade Finance at Deutsche Bank. She supports the development and execution of sales strategy in close collaboration with the Head of Sales, Tsvetanka Nankova, providing data-driven insights and working alongside the broader sales team on client-related activities. Prior to this, Katharina completed a Deutsche Bank’s Graduate Program, where she gained experience across Inhouse Consulting, CEO Strategy, and Planning & Performance Management. Katharina holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Philosophy from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary thinking and topics such as inequality, cooperation, and sustainability.

Esra Turk is Global Head of Sustainable Finance and ESG Solutions at the Investment Bank. She is also Chair of the Investment Bank for Middle East & Africa. Previously, Esra ran CEEMEA FIC Coverage (2021 – 2025) and LATAM FIC Coverage (2022 – 2024) and was the Senior Executive Officer for Deutsche Bank’s ADGM branch. Esra represents Deutsche Bank on the International Swaps and Derivatives Association Board and is a member of ISDA’s Management Committee. Before joining DB, Esra worked for 12 years at Barclays and was Head of Emerging Markets Sales and Origination in EMEA and Americas and Chairman of Middle East and North Africa. She was also a member of the Markets Client Exco, Diversity Champion for Markets, WIN Gender Network Executive Sponsor in the UK and member of Barclays Bank Development Council. Esra also held other senior roles across Structuring, Financial Resource Management, Risk Solutions Group as well as Barclays Non-Core (BNC) where she led the client management team which developed client-centric solutions that accelerated BNC’s derivative and asset divestments. Esra started her banking career at Bankers Trust (now Deutsche Bank) in Leveraged Buyouts and Corporate Finance and went on to work in Derivatives Marketing for Eastern Europe, Turkey and Portugal. Esra has also worked in EM Structuring within Emerging Markets Proprietary Trading at Credit Suisse and was an Executive Director and Co-Head of CEEMEA Debt Capital Markets Origination and Liability Management at UBS before becoming Turkey Country Head at Dresdner Kleinwort. Esra holds an MBA in Finance from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BA in Business Administration from Bogazici University, Istanbul. She was a Trustee and Board Member of Tower Hamlets Education Business Partnership (2016 – 2021).
